With over 130 years of history, Maritimex began with the office of Guillermo Buessing and Company in the port of Veracruz. Initially, they were general and port agents for Hamburg Amerika Linie, facilitating trade between Northern Europe, Cuba, and Mexico. In 1885, Ricardo Eversbusch Beckmann joined the company, eventually becoming a partner.
In 1908, Eversbusch Beckmann moved to Tampico to strengthen the shipping agency’s position, founding Agencia Comercial y Marítima Heynen, Eversbusch y Cía with Karl Heynen, Christlieb, and Ruebcke. This agency represented prestigious shipping lines like Nord Deutscher Lloyd until World War II, which affected international trade in Mexico.
After the war, European and Asian merchant marines resumed and expanded their services to Mexico, boosting foreign trade. Taking advantage of this opportunity, in 1950, Ricardo Eversbusch Vollmann, son of Eversbusch Beckmann, founded Representaciones Marítimas S.A. de C.V., expanding its operations to all major Mexican ports.
In the 1970s, Maritimex led a historic transformation in cargo management, combining security, cost efficiency, and reduced transit times. Continuing the development of advanced vessels and technologies, Maritimex remains a leader in its field, offering quality services, administrative efficiency, customer commitment, and the latest in technology and innovation.
